www.nanowrimo.orgI've done this for the last two years and found it to be an excellent way of knuckling down and thrashing 50k in the month of November. It's how I got Aftermath done and a huge mass of Revelations.

So you basically just write as much as you can for like a month. or so and then post it? and it word counts it.
suppose it would be good to get everything down then to beef it up with more descriptions etc when your done.

Yup. The target is 1,666 words a day to try to hit 50k by the end.
I usually get it done and then struggle to get 1k done during the rest of the year.

I think I managed a wopping 3000 words last year. Mind you, some of them were quality words like omniheaded.

Oooh - that should be worth at least a hundred on its own.
But you see where your cleverness lets you down? After writing 'omniheaded' then break it down into layman's terms.
